Darby Court Apartments

I would not suggest living here. No, no, no. The downside to these apartments is that there is no transparency between tenant and landlord. My sliding back door was malfunctioning and would not shut all the way. Someone came to fix it, but the problem consisted. I’ve called them on 3 separate occasions to have someone come out and get my sliding door fixed. It’s been raining the past few days, not to mention the critters that have been getting through the crack and I live on the first floor! It’s generally a safety hazard. After 6 days of the issue persisting, I come home from work to find a note in my door (picture 1) saying things were fixed and maintenance had come only to be disappointed when I walked over to my sliding door and see it was completely still messed up (video). The apartments themselves are decent. I live in a 1-bedroom and i enjoy my patio, but that’s really it. You can’t host parties in the leasing office, the hot tub never works and, as I mentioned before, the leasing office and maintenance crew will lie about getting things fixed for you. YOU’VE BEEN WARNED

I absolutely love living in Darby Court. These units are charming , the price is right, well kept grounds, washer and dryer in the unit, and a fantastic pool. I want for nothing living here. If I ever Have questions or concerns the office and maintenance staff are always ready and willing to help me. Quiet neighbor's and neighborhood. Thanks for taking care of Me Darby Court.

I'm about to go into my third year at Darby and it's honesty the best apartment I've had. There are some minor issues and I'd rather give a 4.5 but as it's not possible and I don't think a 4 is fitting, it's getting 5 stars. The staff keep the complex clean and pretty. The maintenance guys are nice and fix your issues in a speedy manor. They are very respectful of your time and are very efficient at their job. I've never had a maintenance request not fulfilled. They have an after hour emergency maintenance number and man they're super quick about getting back to you. The staff inside the building for the most part is nice. They do trade between the other Sexton properties to avoid favoritism so don't be alarmed when someone you've gotten to know leaves. They're probably at another Sexton complex for a while. The only downside is that they tend to not return voicemails that often. I've had some returned and others not so it's really hit or miss. If you have your own alarm system some issues might arise with that as they forget to bring the alarm code with them. I've had that happen multiple times unfortunately. Each apartment comes with a washer and dryer with it and it's AMAZING. Finally an apartment who understands I need to do laundry. The community is also nice. There's nothing loud ever happening and I've never felt unsafe walking at night. The pathways are pretty well lite making it easy to see where you're going. There could be more disabled parking though. There is only one trash area which is a bummer. I think there's only like 2 visitor parking areas? However if you call them they'll give your guest a pass that's good for 3 days. The pool area is mostly taken care of. I say mostly as the hot tub doesn't work, or doesn't at the time of writing this. It's also not open right now so I don't know if it's been fixed. Leaves fall into the pool a lot but they can't really control how the wind blows leaves. Overall I would, and do, recommend living here.

We've lived here at Darby Court Apartments for over 15 years and have received the best service from maintenance and the office staff. They recently updated our apartment with new appliances, painted our kitchen and bathroom cabinets, reglazed the counter tops in the kitchen and the bath tub, replaced kitchen and bathroom lights. Our apartment looks so nice with all the updates. Thanks Darby Court.

Don't move there especially if you are african I lived in darby court for 2years within those times alot of things happened in my apartment example it flooded, broken cabinets, molds in my apartment, non working washer and dryer for over 5months twice, racism acts and all that. I moved out and they sent me a bill of 710dollars for carpet, pro rate and wall. First of all I sent you pictures of the molds and the flood but they claim they don't have work order for those incident, are you for real? I stayed in that wet room and walking on the wet carpet for over a week with my toddler making the carpet dirty since it was wet. Secondly they charge you exorbitant fee to maintain their apartment. I called their VP Jane she won't pick and when you go to their office they won't let you in because you don't have appointments. Very rude lady at the reception in their office in downtown. They never returned my security deposit nor my 50dollar transfer fee. They don't want agree to the fact that those things were molds but telling me they were stains from my chair. I asked the lady did I put my couch in the bathroom too since they was molds all over there too?

The complex is quiet and clean! Maintenance came the same day I put in a ticket, and otherwise I've had no issues with the apartment. For all the reviews talking about the application process, this apartment operates off of a waitlist! Put in your application a couple months early, and when an apartment becomes available, Darby Court will contact you and get you approved. They are very good about answering the phone when you have questions. I love this complex so far, and rent is very fair for what you get.
